Tackling one of the most exciting aspects of today's high-stakes real estate market — the transformation of an eyesore into a profit-making beauty — A&E's hour-long "docu-soap" follows Armando Montelongo as he transforms properties and makes huge profits. It sounds simple, but sparks fly and tempers are high before the fixer-uppers are ready to go back on the market.

In San Antonio, Armando Montelongo heads up a family business, Montelongo House Buyers. Five years ago he rolled into town on his last tank of gas; today he is a hard-driving entrepreneur heading-up a hugely successful real estate investment firm. When faced with a renovation disaster, Armando follows the advice of his Tae Kwon Do Master and tells himself, "Yes, I can." Wife Veronica is a redheaded beauty with a quirky sense of humor and a killer sales instinct. Randy Burch is Armando's go-to general contractor taking on some of Armando's toughest renovation jobs. Sinking foundations, faulty electrical systems, and mosquito infested swimming pools are all in a days work. Add to that Armando's stingy budgets and Randy's got his hands full trying to work a miracle with every flip. Brent Holt recently returned to San Antonio after working on the Hurricane Katrina relief effort in New Orleans . Now he's Armando's patient and enduring project manager, who takes every chance he can to make fun of his demanding boss.

Armando Montelongo is hitting the big time, Texas style. In just 5 years, he has turned his small family business in San Antonio into a major real estate investment firm. How does he do it? Hard work, natural business savvy and a success-minded, philosophical approach to life. He is a true believer in the power of positive thinking: big dreams mean big profits. He shares his drive for success with his wife, Veronica. But it’s not all business for the Montelongos, playing practical jokes is a favorite family past time - they never miss an opportunity for laughs.

When Veronica Montelongo's not taking care of her husband, Armando and their son, Mondo Man, she's selling houses at a rapid fire rate. Her killer sales instinct can't be beat. She can sweet talk even the most reluctant buyer. But it's not all sales for Veronica, she can also whip up a mean tex-mex meal, kick Armando's tail in Tai Kwan Do class, and custom mix paint colors that would make Martha Stewart jealous.

Randy Burch is Armando's go-to general contractor. He got his start in the family roofing business; then he met Armando and decided to expand, taking on some of Armando's toughest renovation jobs. Sinking foundations, faulty electrical systems, and mosquito infested swimming pools are all in a days work. Add to that Armando's stingy budgets and Randy's got his hands full trying to work a miracle with every flip. No matter what Armando throws his way, Randy keeps his cool and keeps his eyes on the prize - pay day. As with every investor-contractor relationship, there is some serious financial tension, but Randy manages to stay in the game.

Brent Holt recently returned to San Antonio after working on the Hurricane Katrina relief effort in New Orleans. Now he's Armando's patient and enduring project manager, who takes every chance to take the piss out of his demanding boss. It's up to Brent to keep the job running smoothly - on time, on budget and to perfection. Armando is the first to let him know when work starts to slide and, more often, when spending is on the rise. Under the influence of Veronica, Brent is quickly cultivating an eye for design and sometimes losing track of the bottom line until Armando reels him in and let's him know who's boss.
